Peggy Marilley, President

Inspired by her aunt Jane Marilley, a pioneer in the event planning industry, Peggy began producing her own events as a young girl in the backyard of her suburban Maryland home. From those early beginnings, she expanded her skills in high school and college by getting involved in as many activities as possible, organizing multiple school, sorority and campus events. Not only did she organize, Peggy danced the days and nights away during a 72 hour dance marathon raising money for a campus wide fundraising event. Throughout the years Peggy built her experience by chairing Presidential Inaugural Balls, launching annual events for multiple non-profits, serving on national boards and eventually finding her way to the hospitality industry. It is here that she fulfilled her lifelong dream to pursue her own business events company and on February 14, 1996, Peggy launched Precision Meetings & Events, Inc. With extraordinary creativity, style and dedication, Peggy continues to provide the highest quality of service to Precision’s social, non-profit and corporate clients. Nearly 25 years later, she is most proud of Precision’s clients, colleagues and partners. Together, the collaboration, commitment and support of these individuals has contributed to Precision’s success and the fulfillment of a young girl’s dream.

Megan Manzo

Precision has been Megan’s creative outlet and happy place since 2001. Her 20 plus years of experience has led to the planning and execution of a wide range of small to large-scale events to include conferences, galas, award ceremonies, complex social events and more. Her love of organization and planning has followed her forever, and always carried over into her work.

Megan graduated from Lynchburg College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication with an emphasis in rhetorical and organizational communication.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and three children and devotes much of her free time to volunteer work at her children’s school. Megan is always excited about having people over to her home, which explains the overflowing drawers full of cocktail napkins.

Betty Ford

As a junior and senior high school teacher in her home state of Minnesota, the words “association” referred to a singing group from the late 60’s and “logistics” was getting to school before the bell rang! That all changed when a job application for a program and meetings manager for a national student organization in the Washington, DC area became a reality. Since that time, and over more than 25 years, Betty has managed and directed all aspects of program development and meeting planning for groups of 300 to 6000 for both national and international associations.  From her experience working with students to scientists and researchers to medical professionals, the words abstract, strategic planning, program development, logistics, marketing, hybrid, virtual, and more have all become part of a skill set and everyday words.  Betty is thrilled to have found her way from teaching to associations and the hospitality industry and now to Precision.

Cate Rock

Cate’s love for event planning took off in college when she focused more on organizing tailgates than attending the football games at Clemson University (Go Tigers!). After multiple years of internships with event and wedding planners, she knew her future was in the industry. Cate started with Precision in 2018 when she moved from the coast of Charleston, South Carolina to Washington D.C.

Cate’s eye for design incorporates fresh, innovative ideas in order to achieve our clients’ goals. Her positive energy and warm demeanor connects her with Precision’s partners and clients, and is what inspires her to create flawless events from start to finish. Cate’s passion for events doesn’t stop in the office. You can find her on the weekend hosting her monthly themed brunches or on stage at the closest Karaoke bar.
